SHOWING VIEW from INSIDE HELM STATION |
The open layout of the main salon makes for a spacious environment and the view through the Pilothouse windows is superb. The recent refit has been designed around creating an open and uncluttered space with lots of storage built in.
The interior lights, now over 35 pieces. Creates a warm and bright atmosphere. There also never seems to be enough storage space on a boat. Again, check out the ample storage space inside this hull. |
|
All the countertops are NEW as well. There is never enough counter space on a boat. There are 5 NEW countertops on this Vessel. Look at the pictures of this boat - there may actually be enough counter space here !
There is a dedicated chart table that is enormous ! Also included are three chart drawers into which one can store full size navigation charts without folding.

The Hull is constructed of thick Fiberglass. In addition the Hull is fully insulated such that the heat remains in for Alaska and the heat remains out for the tropics.
The NEW Espar furnace with NEW 5 inch ducting spreads the heat throughout the entire hull. You will not find any damp or cold spots in this hull. For the tropics, there are dedicated 12VDC fans at very low amp consumption spaced where one needs them to keep things comfortable. There is also a NEW "Shadetree" awning system included to keep the sun off the decks while at anchor in the Tropics. |

NEW ESPAR DIESEL FURNACE |

|
The anchoring system on a Voyaging Sailboat is crucial. There is a electric anchor windlass that has power both forward and reverse through deck mounted foot switches. There is a large anchor forward, plus another anchor aft plus a further spare anchor. All three anchors have long chain rodes with additional nylon rodes if they are required.
The rudder is of the Semi-Balanced type. The rudder stock is a robust solid chunk of Stainless. The quadrant is also solid stainless steel. There is a squared head to the rudder shaft end for fitting an emergency tiller. The Steering is Hydraulic with a large stainless "Cruiser" style wheel aft and a smaller stainless wheel for the inside steering. There is provision for autopilot at both helm positions through the use of a Autopilot repeater. |

Extra large water tankage along with the NEW 120VAC hot water tank, NEW plumbing and NEW pressure pump and NEW pressure accumulator tank, NEW 3/4 inch piping and NEW propane hot water heater, new industrial grade adjustable water pressure switch, NEW individual manifold valves are all installed as one homogeneous system that is reliable and easy to make additions or changes later. The NEW large hot water tank allows for comfortable showers and the NEW propane hot water heater / hot water tank system assures ample hot water available whether at sea or alongside the wharf. Spares and Manuals for the systems are included. |

NEW POTABLE WATER SYSTEM |
|
We have chosen the components of the Systems to ensure a trouble free voyage as much as possible. For example items like NEW 10,000 hour Zenon lighting. You will not have to change a light bulb for a very long time ! .
A NEW AC/DC Electrical System has been installed. This system is of the highest quality and attention to detail has not been spared. For example, there is lots of room for expansion later, extra wires already run to key areas, access to the panels is both from the front and the back. No expense was spared in both components and the installation. Example note the oversized wiring that minimizes voltage drop. Yes, this heavier gauge wiring costs more but the results are also far better. The system incorporates two NEW panels with six NEW panel meters. With all these meters, there will be no question as to what is happening with the Vessels Electrical System. There are 30 circuit Breakers installed in this system. Again, circuit breakers are a lot more expensive than cheap and nasty fuses, but when one is 1000 miles offshore one is unlikely to find a hardware store out there that has a replacement fuse handy. Circuit Breakers also adds that professional touch to an already outstanding system. Each circuit breaker is individually identified with engraved labels. More expense, but also makes for a higher quality installation. The layout of the electrical follows the same logical and simplistic design as the rest of the boat. Make it simple and one automatically also makes it that much more reliable. We have made extensive use of Buss Bars such that all loads come to a central point for each panel. This also makes adding things later very easy and straightforward. We have incorporated extra large Buss bars for the high amperage circuits like the anchor windlass, inverter, Watermaker, etc. Of course these are fitted with protection devices as well. On the AC panel, the grounds and the neutral conductors are separated with their own individual buss bars. On most boats you will find these combined, which is fine until electrolysis destroys the thrue hull fittings. On this boat we have taken much care into preventing electrolysis by utilizing ground wires on every major metal item on the Vessel, which is in turn brought back to the main oversized Zinc. |
|
|
NEW MAIN PANEL
|
There are many examples of extra work and expense we have incurred to make the Vessel comfortable and user friendly. For example note all the NEW extra 120VAC outlets we have installed such no matter where one is inside the boat there is always an outlet within reach. Extra outlets have been installed at strategic locations for example 4 outlets in the Master Stateroom for a TV/VRC/CD player. Also note the details for example the through bulkhead lead for a shore TV cable if you wish to have this - it is already installed. |
|
|
BACK of MAIN PANEL |
HIGH AMPERAGE DC BUSS |
The Main engine is a reliable 84 HP Perkins. This engine was just serviced with NEW injectors installed and a NEW exhaust system.
The Engine is located at the aft of the Vessel behind a sound shielded bulkhead. This keeps noise and smell out of the living area of the Vessel. Access to the Engine is very good all around. There are Racor fuel filters installed and a NEW electric fuel pump to prime filters after a filter change. Oil changes are very easy also with a dedicated and permanently mounted 12VDC oil change pump. We have placed a lot of thought into future maintenance. |
