DP (Dynamic Positioning) BACK-UP PACKAGE with AUTOPILOT

The Simrad Joystick (SJS/DP) system is a steering control system with manual and semi automatic control capability. The SJS/DP system integrates control of the vessel's propulsion systems in a single joystick. There are added features of automatic heading control, selection of vessel rotation point and minimised power function.

Vessel movement is controlled using the joystick, and the vessel will move in the direction in which the joystick is pointed.

When automatic heading control is selected, the vessel's heading is controlled automatically based on heading inputs from Gyrocompass, while the vessel's position is controlled manually from the joystick.

This Twin Console Joystick DP Back-Up System is design for applications with Twin Screw, Twin Rudder with Bow Thruster + Stern Thurster.

This System meets Classification Society Mandatory requirements for stand alone, independent Back-Up for fully automated DP System. Fully Supported by Kongsberg Simrad.
